We are committed to bringing together policy makers, clinicians, innovators, philanthropists and everyday citizens to understand how we can leverage the power of AI to make healthcare smarter, faster and more equitable globally.

Hosted by award-winning journalist, author & broadcaster Tracey Spicer AM and joined by Dr Jean-Frédéric Levesque, Professor Debra Anderson, Professor Michael Blumenstein and Baker Tamory, we invite you to join the conversation as we explore the ways AI is evolving the future of healthcare.

Speakers

Host: Tracey Spicer AM is an award winning author, journalist and broadcaster. Tracey spent seven years researching artificial intelligence to create her best-selling new book, Man-Made: How the bias of the past is being built into the future which has been longlisted for a Walkley Award and won the Social Responsibility category in the Australian Business Book Awards.

Dr Jean-Frédéric Levesque is the Deputy Secretary, Clinical Innovation and Research and the Chief Executive of the NSW Agency for Clinical Innovation. Jean-Frédéric brings extensive leadership in healthcare systems analysis and improvement, combining experience in clinical practice in refugee health and tropical medicine, clinical governance and academic research. 

Professor Debra Anderson is Dean of UTS Faculty of Health and Co-Secretary General, Global Network of WHO Collaborating Centres for Nursing and Midwifery and Health Development. Debra is also Founding Director of the Women’s Wellness Research Collaborative in which she has mentored a growing network of researchers across the globe researching a wide gamut of women’s health issues. 

Professor Michael Blumenstein is Deputy Dean (Research and Innovation) in the UTS Faculty of Engineering and IT. Michael is a nationally and internationally recognised expert in automated Pattern Recognition and AI and has successfully led the growth of cutting-edge research at Universities, particularly in collaboration with industry and focusing on translational outcomes.

Baker “Becker" Tamory is a Senior Data & AI Specialist at Microsoft, based in Sydney. With over two decades in professional sales, he excels in helping organizations harness AI for decision-making. Baker is also a dedicated community member, serving on Australian Computer Society's AI ethics committees and volunteering extensively.
