Event Description:
Join us at Windmill Lodge in Maryland for a community planting day as we bring a new Tiny Forest to life.

We’ll be planting, watering, and working together to restore nature, increase biodiversity, and take positive climate action—one tiny tree at a time. After planting, you're invited to stay for a casual BBQ lunch and connect with other locals who care about the environment.

This event is part of the Tiny Forest movement, a global approach to regenerating small, densely planted forests using native species. These forests grow fast, support biodiversity, sequester carbon, and create meaningful green spaces in both urban and rural areas.

The planting is led by The Groundswell Collective, a local not-for-profit working across NSW to inspire climate action through hands-on environmental projects. By getting involved, you’re helping create habitat, improve soil health, and build climate resilience right where you live.

All ages are welcome. Just make sure children are supervised and book a free ticket for everyone attending.

What to bring:

• Comfortable, sun-smart clothes

• Enclosed shoes

• A hat

• A water bottle

• Gardening gloves and a trowel (if you have them)
