Event description

Friday 15th November - Birds (Real and Imagined)

Join me in the beautiful ground of Between the Vines in Longwood (South Australia) for a delightful session of painting birds both imagined and real. This is a real hoot of a class and perfect paired with wine and an individual cheese platter. Could be a nice relaxing Friday afternoon activity finish off the week before School pick-up or an experience-based Christmas gift for a loved one.

Enjoy a beautiful glass of wine on arrival before settling in to a playful drawing/painting session using nice quality art supplies. We'll start the class with some 'blob birds' simply playing with watercolours and learning some techniques along the way. Once everyone is warmed up, we'll move on to drawing/painting real birds in pen and watercolour. How-to-draw sheets and endless guidance will be provided, making this a lovely class for beginners. Everyone will come away with some basic knowledge on how to use watercolours in a fun and playful way along with some general drawing skills. Absolutely no experience needed, just expect a relaxing afternoon playing with paint!

Workshop cost includes a glass of wine, an individual cheese platter and all materials. Please let us know of any dietary requirements as the cheese platter can be easily changed ahead of time.

Note that we will be seated undercover in an outdoor environment and subject to the elements. Bring a jumper if it's looking a bit chilly (remember it's always cooler in the hills!) The workshop may have to be postponed on days of extreme wind or heat (or the pesky COVID), if this happens and you cannot attend a follow-up workshop you will be entitled to a full refund.
