Wine Tasting: Valley to Mountain - The Wines of Pepe Raventós

Few families in Spain carry the kind of pedigree that Pepe Raventós brings to the table.

His family has farmed the same estate in Catalonia since 1497—over twenty-one generations of growers. In 2012, they walked away from the Cava DO entirely to create their own strict, terroir-focused appellation, Conca del Riu Anoia, producing mineral-driven, biodynamic sparkling wines that rival grower Champagne.

With Can Sumoi, Pepe took that obsession 600 meters up into the Serra de l'Home mountains, reviving an ancient 17th-century estate to make raw, high-altitude, low-intervention still wines with zero additives. .

On Thursday, October 8th, we will be joined by Brand Ambassador Marti Pujol i Mas to pull corks on a lineup from both estates and talk through the history, the land, and the wines in your glass.
