Event description
Wings in the Wild: Birdwatching with Adelaide Bird Club
Step into nature and discover the joy of birdwatching with Adelaide Bird Club, a community of local bird lovers who believe in slowing down, looking up, and reconnecting with the world around us.
This is a relaxed and welcoming birdwatching session open to all ages and experience levels. Whether you're just starting out or have years of birding behind you, this event is all about enjoying the moment, learning from one another, and sharing the wonder of wild birds in their natural habitat.
We'll take a gentle walk through a nearby natural space, tuning in to the sights and sounds of birdlife. Along the way, you'll have the chance to spot local species, ask questions, share tips, and enjoy the simple pleasure of being outdoors. There’s no need to know every bird or bring expensive gear. Curiosity is more than enough.
Bring binoculars or a camera if you have them, or simply come as you are. These sessions are friendly, inclusive, and neurodivergent-aware, offering a safe and supportive space to enjoy nature at your own pace. It's the perfect way to unwind, make new connections, and experience the calming rhythm of birdwatching.
This free event is part of the Nature Festival.
