Marketing for Architects: Winning the Work
Great design alone doesn’t win projects. Architecture firms must also know how to position their expertise, build trust, communicate value, and pursue the right opportunities.
In the second session of AIA Colorado’s three-part Marketing for Architects series, architects and industry decision-makers will have a candid conversation about what it takes to win work in today’s competitive marketplace.
This discussion moves beyond the fundamentals of business development to address the questions experienced practitioners face as they seek better projects, new clients, and sustainable growth.
Panelists will explore how firms can enter new markets without diluting their expertise, differentiate themselves beyond design quality, establish productive partnerships, and demonstrate value in a fee-conscious environment.
They’ll also examine the selection process from the client’s perspective: what makes a team credible, what creates confidence or concern, and what architects commonly misunderstand when pursuing work.
Designed for architects who are already pursuing work and want to sharpen their approach, this conversation will offer an honest look at how successful firms develop relationships, make strategic decisions, and compete for the projects that move their practices forward.
Panelists:
Chris Viscardi, Kentro Group
Andy Rockmore, AIA, SAR+
Wells Squier, AIA, Anderson Hallas Architects
Steve Scribner, AIA, Shape Architecture Studio
