Winter Night Sky 2025

With the remaining moments of early sunsets before the spring equinox and daylight savings return, this is the best time to view the night sky.

Winter under the southern hemisphere sky has the centre of the Milky Way passing directly overhead, led by Scorpio who is heading toward the western horizon. A sky rich in detail can be enjoyed in our indoor planetarium under all conditions, and where possible we add telescope viewing as an extra.
