Portrait Sketching with Claire Bridge
Class to be held in the Function Room at The Old Cheese Factory. You will have an image provided by Claire Bridge that you will work of to learn the fundamentals of portrait sketching.
Claire has been a visual artist, facilitator and mentor for over 20 years. Her work has been exhibited in major institutions and galleries in every state and territory, including NGV Australia, McClelland Gallery, Lismore Regional Gallery, Art Gallery of WA, Art Gallery of NSW, and festivals including Beechworth Biennale 2024, and The Big Anxiety Festival 2019. In 2022, Claire co-led the bi-lingual, multi-venue touring exhibition ‘What I Wish I'd Told You’, with Deaf artist, Chelle Destefano.
Skilled in classical and contemporary techniques, Claire shares a wealth of knowledge with her students. Create an original portrait from a photo while you explore a range of drawing techniques including learning about the structure of the human head, proportion, composition, tone and mark-making. Open to people of all skill levels, from beginner to advanced.
