Winter Concert: Dance with the Moon feat. Blessing Chimanga

In this second of Kutandara’s 2023-2024 concert series, we celebrate and welcome living legend Blessing Chimanga for his inaugural US headlining concert. Blessing is an internationally recognized musician, having performed with many of Zimbabwe’s musical legends, as well as recording and touring around the globe with his own band.

This show will be a collaboration between Blessing, Kutandara’s Director of Productions, and Randy McIntosh, Kutandara’s Artistic Director, to debut some of Blessing’s never-before-heard-on-marimba repertoire with Kutandara’s performing bands, as well as a taste of Blessing’s unique electric band vibe. This concert is a fundraiser to extend additional legal support for Blessing to continue teaching, producing, and spreading his love and knowledge of Zimbabwean music and culture at Kutandara.

Unlike many of Kutandara’s concerts, this event will be fully seated. If the urge overtakes you, there will be areas in the front wings and the aisles to dance!
