The days are shortening and getting darker and colder. Soon, we'll be in the winter months, which means there's nothing to do in the veggie garden until spring. Or is that the case?

Join Damian Curtain, local gardener and long time anchor of the Reservoir Food Swap, on a tour of his home garden.

He'll show what he's been doing to get the most out of his garden in the winter months, and prepare for the new growth and possibilities of spring.

The workshop is free of charge, but a booking is essential.

The workshop is run by Damian Curtain, artist, sculptor, teacher and skilled local gardener. Damian is a Darebin resident who is a stalwart of the Transition Darebin Reservoir Food Swap and a long time supporter of Transition Darebin

Damian will show what he's been doing to get the most out of his garden in the winter months, and to help prepare for the new growth and possibilities of spring.

This series of workshops supports local people by showcasing their skills within the community. The sessions offer opportunities to learn about sustainable living, be informed about climate/environmental issues and build stronger connections between local people, in order to create a healthy, sustainable and inclusive community.


This free workshop is one of a series highlighting the skills and expertise of local people and spreading this knowledge to strengthen our community in Darebin. This event is kindly supported by a Darebin City Council grant
