Step into the stories at Lanyon Homestead and experience the landscape and history of Canberra before it became the nation’s capital. Discover the stories of the people who lived and worked here and be immersed in the colonial interiors of the 1850s homestead and outbuildings. 

Follow your tour with a stroll through the kitchen gardens or a coffee at the Barracks Café.

All visitors MUST book a ticket, including children of all ages.

PLEASE NOTE: The cafe closes at 3:00pm. If you are booking a Tea and Tour package please plan accordingly. For example, if you book a 2:00pm or 3:00pm tour it is strongly advised that you plan to arrive an hour earlier and enjoy your tea before the tour. Cafe items in this package can be redeemed either before or after a tour.
