🗺️ How to Get to Maya Sanctuary 548 Blackheath Creek Road Kanimbla Valley NSW 2790 🚗 Driving: Due to the Victoria Pass closure, there is now a detour, that will add around 30min to the trip. 1. From Sydney, drive through the Blue Mountains until you get to Mt Victoria. Follow the signs for the detour along Darling Causeway 2. Watch out for detour signs. Take Hartley Vale Rd on the left (partially blocked, resident only. one way down). Be careful, as this is a windy path! 3. After Collit's Inn, turn left onto Fields Rd, continue straight onto Brown's Gap Rd, then turn left onto the Old Great Western Highway 4. Turn right over the bridge to Cox's River Rd 5. Turn left onto Blackheath Creek Rd and follow it all the way to the end — look for signs to Maya Sanctuary NOTE: The last stretch is unsealed but suitable for 2WD vehicles with care. Go slowly and enjoy the views! 🚆 By Train: The nearest station ATM is Lithgow, just a 30-minute drive from the Sanctuary. We’ll help coordinate carpooling and pickups closer to the event — keep an eye out for info.
Entry instructions
When you arrive at Maya Sanctuary, come through the gates and you’ll first see the caretaker’s cottage – Goannamanna. ⛺ Campers: Follow the signs to parking and set-up near the cottage. 🌿 Main event area: Head up the bitumen road, past the Artist’s Lodge, then up the hill to the left — you’ll find Illowra House, Wombat Hall, and the cabins waiting for you.
