Winter Solstice 2025
Event description
Join us on June 21st as we come together for the Busselton Community Safe Space Winter Solstice — a free annual event created to offer warmth, connection, and hope to those touched by mental health challenges, suicide, and loss.
As the longest night of the year, the Winter Solstice is a time for reflection, healing, and the gentle reminder that light returns. We invite our community to gather around fires, listen to live music, and share in free soup, fresh rolls, and hot drinks. Alcoholic and other beverages will be available to purchase.
Throughout the evening, people with lived experience will bravely share their stories, helping to create a space where mental health is spoken about openly, without judgment. There will also be a sensory-friendly area for those who need a quieter space to pause. You will also get a chance to share your story, a message, song or poem for our Audio Guestbook.
This event is about connection — reminding every person that they are not alone and that from even the darkest nights, new light and hope can emerge.
Everyone is welcome. Free entry. Warmth, community, and understanding await.
