Winter Solstice Ceremonial Circle
Event description
✨ Warm your heart on the longest night of the year.✨
Come gather with us to sing, reflect, and welcome the returning light.
The Winter Solstice marks the turning point - when the night is at its deepest and the first light begins to grow again. It’s not just something that happens in nature around us - it also happens inside of us.
We all go through inner winters. Times when things feel quiet, slow, or uncertain. We carry worries, hopes, memories - things waiting patiently in the dark. This season invites us to rest, to listen inward, and to remember that darkness isn’t something to fear. It can be a place of rest, of quiet truth. It’s where new life begins.
On this special night, we’ll come together in song and silence, in movement and stillness, to honor the journey from darkness to light - in nature, and in ourselves.
Journey:
Cacao Ceremony - we'll open the circle by sharing warm cacao and dropping into a space of gentle presence. (Please read info on Cacao below).
Sacred Songs & Chants - we'll l sing together to honor the season, the darkness, and the returning light. No experience needed - just your voice and presence.
Silent Meditation on Darkness - we’ll sit together in the quiet of the longest night, gently noticing what is stirring within us.
Candle Spiral Ritual - one by one, we’ll walk into the center, light a candle, and return - symbolizing the light we carry within. As you light your flame, you’ll be invited to set a quiet intention for the season ahead.
Sharing Circle - if you feel called, you’re welcome to offer a poem, a song, a reflection - or simply to listen. All are welcome.
Sound Journey - let yourself lie down and receive. The evening will gently close with a healing sound bath.
What to bring:
Bring along a water bottle and a cushion for comfortable seating.
Yoga mat and blanket for sound bath.
Note on Cacao:
We will be sharing ceremonial-grade cacao, a gentle heart medicine traditionally used in ritual to support inner connection and openness. It contains theobromine - a natural stimulant - and can have a warming, uplifting effect. Please let us know if you are pregnant, on antidepressant medication, or have any heart conditions, so we can offer you a smaller or alternative serving if needed. Water will be available throughout the ceremony.
Note on Tickets:
If cost is a barrier, you're welcome to pay what you can - just let us know in advance so we can make sure there’s enough cacao prepared for everyone. We’d love to have you there.
Come sit with us in the stillness. Let’s sing, share, and reconnect — with ourselves, with each other, and with the quiet beauty of this season.
