Thank you for booking your place at the Winter Solstice Ancestral Gathering Presented by Kookaburra Kulture Wilderness School

We look forward to welcoming you to this special gathering — a time to connect, listen, dance, share meals, and remember our ancestors and what it is to live in community with Country.

This is your invitation to slow down, drop in, and be part of something meaningful. Together, we’ll share fire, story, song, and ceremony under the stars, wrapped in the spirit of the solstice.

We would like to let you know that the numbers of people booking into this event has been slow, we are going ahead, however it will be a much more intimate experience for all of us. In light of this we have also introduced a day pass for the Saturday Solstice. Please share this with your friends.

This sacred land, held by Shane Joyce, is an inspiring living example of regenerative farming — using biodynamic principles, syntropic agroforestry, and natural sequence farming.

🚪 ARRIVAL DETAILS

Gates Open: from 3pm, Friday 20th June 2025
Check-In: Please have your ticket or confirmation ready. A screenshot is perfect.
Our welcome team will greet you at the gate and guide you to your campsite.
Opening Circle and Welcome begins Friday 5.00pm.

🚪 WHAT IS PROVIDED

Evening Meal Friday and Lunch Saturday. - Please reply if you have any dietary requirements we need these by the 17th June for catering purposes.

All workshops and activities.

Toilets and limited shower.

Flat and cleared farm camping

🛖 WHAT TO BRING

Camping gear (tent, bedding, mattress, etc.)
Warm clothing & extra blankets – it gets very cold at night
Rain gear (just in case – this is a winter outdoor event) enclosed shoes
Torch or headlamp – it’s very dark at night on the land
Water & water bottle, cup, plate, bowl, and utensils – this is a low-waste event (there is some water onsite)
Your own breakfast & dinner Sat, snacks or extras if you have special dietary needs
Note you will need to take your own rubbish back home with you, so keep this in mind when preparing what to bring, and bring your own garbage bags.
Camp Chairs, it gets cold sitting on the ground at night.
These are unpowered sites
Very Limited Power for charging any devices.
Journal and Writing/Drawing pens/pencils whatever you prefer to use.
Item from/of ancestor or print out of a photo for the ancestral alter.

Opening Circle (Day People Arrive)

9.30 – 11am Tree Planting and Ancestral connections to place.

Planting our Intentions for the ancestors of the future.

11am – 1pm Jandamarra creating artwork and experiencing our true belonging in relationship to ourselves and the world around us.
