Winter Solstice Gatherings and Workshop: Pa'a Foundation - Internal - External - Community
Event description
Pa’a: Unshakeable Foundation - Internal - External - Community
Aloha mai Kākou, Welina!
Unconditional Love to All, Welcome!
For 2025's Winter Solstice, we can again ‘walk’ the spiral IN, bask WITH the central flame, and when ready, journey back OUT.
We walk our own path, we see others walking too. We choose. Or do we?
We warmly invite you to gather for Unshakeable Foundation and Community, to do the Internal work, and the External.
“Anyone can Learn, Anyone can Teach, What can We Create?”
We acknowledge the Ancestors and Traditional Custodians of the Country on which we are on, with deep respect. We are also deeply grateful for the permission given to conduct these practices here.
And here are some POSSIBILITIES:
June 2025 at Lyra House and surrounds, Denmark, Western Australia.

Where are we Sailing to? Ourselves, with our groups, with this group. Which Vessel to sail in? Fire Seeds Community College and others. What is our Course? We set a plan for until we meet again.
- Please share as you are inspired, and note that Registration is essential for everyone attending.
- Community Events are all our gifts.
- If you are inspired to attend the Workshop too, we ask that finances are not a barrier or unhealthy for you. Please let’s talk. (And please come!)
A message from Shan Siah:
“I have learnt from a traditional Hawaiian lineage from the Halawa Valley on the island of Molokai, and I have permission to teach this. All our lineages will be spoken in time.
'Use your words and don’t be nervous'
What Knowledge will you bring and share?
Not everyone may be ready at this time and that’s okay. Let’s talk some more and see.
Mākaukau: Be ready, no matter what! I teach how I was taught. The weekend will be dynamic and depend on who is there, what is arising, etc and we will move together as a group.
It has been a joy and (spirit) power up to co-create with brother Jim!”
A message from Jim Underwood:
“I am stoked to be a part of the supporting community web as Shan invites us in the direction of unshakable foundation that has the deep natural lore to help navigate modernity. I am personally particularly interested in using our bodies to locate ourselves in the primal play of fire and water, heaven and earth, giving and receiving, and love the way that aligns with the Hawaiian lineage that Shan has learnt from.”

Solstice Gathering, Fire and Spiral Walk
From 4pm onwards, Friday 20 June.
Family, friends and community welcome!
Registration is essential, please. A Donation to support costs is welcome but not required.
Solstice Gathering by the fire in the field below Lyra House. Park in the usual carpark and walk down. Rainy weather alternative is Lyra House.
As the winter water dark arrives with fullness, the beauty of the subtle return flow of the sun’s fire-light is something worth giving attention to and participating with. Let us use the opportunity to enter the dark, do some soul forging, maybe ask a penetratingly good question, and see what light emerges from within that has the power to be of benefit for healthy ecological community.
Sunset Ceremony 5pm, followed by spiral walk, picnic and music, singing and dance (if you’re keen).
To Bring, if you’re inspired:
- Flowers and decorations for the spiral (please remember to remove non-degradables afterwards)
- Candle in a jar
- A picnic
- Rug or seat
- Musical instruments, drums, voice, dancing feet….
Sunrise Protocol. Spiral Work Connections
Gather at Lyra House at 0645 Saturday 21 June, to begin at 0700 with the Sunrise Protocol.
Let's use the body as the key to open the door to following the natural lore of spirals in expansion and compression (breath) and in so doing, warm up our hearts (pulse) for connectivity to ourselves and each other through the day
Shared Breakfast….as below
Pa’a: Unshakeable Foundation
Gather at 0830 for a shared breakfast and an 0900 Start, Saturday 21 June.
We will start our 2-day Workshop with Pa'a or Unshakeable Foundation.
Spiritual - Mental - Physical, in that order.
This is an opportunity to experience how this Foundation can support us in modern community living, as it did with the ancestors.
The Foundation is made up of interconnecting layers - these connections give it its strength; and gives us our strength as is needed, no matter what happens.
The first layer may be Akua: or put as a belief in spirit beings. Pule is one way of communicating with these beings, whoever they are to you.
We can speak and share to learn on the intellectual basis. First, we will clear mental baggage and blocks to our moving together as a group with the traditional process of Ho’oponopono.
Internal
It has not been possible, or desirable really, to separate the Internal and the External work that we will do.
However, on the first day of the Workshop, Saturday, a lot of the processes could loosely be called Internal - whether within our own selves or the group; in Spirit, Intellect or Physically.
0900: We begin our day with Calling Out as Protocol and in Circle
Pa’a: Unshakeable Foundation
When ready: Group Ho’oponopono Session (clearing of the mental blocks to our learning and moving together)
Salt Water Cleansing (sprinkling or immersion)
Tea breaks and Shared Lunch as we are needing.
We will finish at Sunset 506pm with Protocol.
Optional dinner and campfire TBA
External
On the second day of our Workshop, Sunday, we will begin again with an Optional Sunrise Protocol: ~7am followed by QiGong with Jim.
0800 Gather and 0830 Start with a circle; recap and agreement on some details of our day, including finish time.
Where are we Sailing to?
This day’s focus is for setting our destination - as individuals and as a group.
Which Vessel to sail in?
Shan will share one ‘voyaging canoe’ that is Fire Seeds Community College, and its components. As always, please come ready to share your knowledge and words of great power.
Tea breaks and Shared Lunch as needed, again.
What is our Course Plan?
The afternoon will be our final preparation to set sail from here and where we will meet again: A detailed course plan for ourselves including our own groups, and this group.
Closing Circle and Sunset Protocol: ~5pm, or earlier as we agree.
Optional dinner and campfire TBA. Family, friends and community welcome!
