About your Facilitators:
Chihiro Kayaba is originally from Okayama in Japan. Her passion and dedication to the art of Japanese floral arrangement (lkebana) was passed on by her mother who was also immersed in the world of Ikebana.
She feels that arranging Ikebana is likened to practicing meditation.
Chihiro studied with one of the great masters of Ikebana in Tokyo and is a qualified Ikebana teacher, practicing for nearly 20 years.
Anita Emor is a vocalist and musician who came across Sound Baths whilst living in Los Angeles in 2018, where she discovered the transformative effects of sound healing and meditation through the resonance and frequencies of crystal bowls and gongs.
Returning to Perth during the pandemic in 2020, Anita felt a deep urge to create safe spaces for sound healing. She gained her certification with Nicole Lloyd at SoundBirth Australia which led to launching ‘Emora Suara’ through which she currently holds regular sound bath meditations for groups in locations around Boorloo, in schools, women’s circles and the community.
Sogetsu is a modern school of Ikebana, the Japanese art of flower arranging, founded by Sofu Teshigahara in 1927. It's characterized by its avant-garde and freely expressive style, allowing for a wide range of materials and compositions, moving away from the strict rules of traditional Ikebana.
What is Sound Bath Meditation?
Through a combination of rhythm, vibration, melody and tone, Anita will create a sonorous sound journey with her carefully chosen instruments, vocals and intuitive musicality while you lie down in stillness and serenity (NOTE: Please see contraindications below)
