Winter Solstice Walkabout
Event description
This Saturday marks the Winter Solstice - the shortest day of the year.
Ancient cultures throughout the world always knew this to be a powerful time to connect with Nature, with yourself and with community.
In fact, the Winter Solstice remains the most still, inward and restful point of the year.
A time when we can most profoundly let go of stress and allow the nervous system to heal, a time for grounded peace in the here and now, a time to simply be.
To mark the occasion I am offering a free community event and I'd love you to join us!
* Walking Meditation (grade: super easy - see photo)
* Connecting with Nature Meditation
* Mindful Senses Meditation
* 'Finding Your Stillness' Lecture and Discussion
Feel free to grab tickets for friends and family, but please confirm they are definitely coming before you do so that someone else doesn't miss out on a spot.
If they are able to sit very quiet and still for a 20 minute meditation then teens are most welcome to join us :)
Meet at 2pm at the first car park on the left as you enter the park.
Parking is free with a Northern Beaches parking sticker. Otherwise it's Pay & Display. Or park on the street just outside the park and walk in. It's not far.
See you there!
P.S. Don't worry about QR code scanning on the day. As long as you have pre-registered I will have your name on the list.
