Wintering... honoring yourself during the dark and cold
Event description
It’s the winter solstice soon, and you can definitely feel it in the air, and in the forests around you. Have you noticed? This year I am honoring the seasons and hosting a nourishing half day in Margaret River with textile artist Jillian Finch. We will lean in to Katherine May’s beautiful 2020 book “Wintering: the power of Rest and Retreat in Difficult Times”. We will explore how slowing down and finding rest is a radical act nowadays. Connect to yourself, look inwards and create new rituals to create a slower pace of life life, with writing prompts, Forest Bathing, slow sewing and craft. All food, Forest bathing guidance, herbal tea and materials provided, including a journal. Meet like minded people and create new ways to honor yourself and the slow cold seasons. Leave feeling connected and with some gentle, positive ways to survive the dark, cold times you may face in your life, both seasonally and metophorically.
