Event description

Later this month staff from Whitesbog and the Forest Resource Education Center (FREC) will collaborate in the Village to discuss wintering tree identification techniques with visitors, using select field tools, images and archival samples.

Whether an expert in identifying trees or someone interested in learning more, this workshop will cover the basics of identifying wintering trees at Whitesbog, and discuss unique visual and scientific factors of trees in the pinelands, based on historic and ecological factors.

Tickets are $10 for general admission and $8 for members of Whitesbog Preservation Trust. Parking is free. Paths are sandy and a bit bumpy. Workshop is outdoors. Dogs are welcome, and must remain on a leash.
Questions can be directed to pinelandsinstitute@gmail.com
