WINTERY WILD WEAVING CONNECTIONS - JULY - AUGUST - SEPTEMBER
Event description
ABOUT WILD-WEAVING CONNECTIONS
Come and join me this Cold Season for our first ever Wintery Wild Weaving Connections Workshop series.
I will be offering two series throughout July, August & September!
My intention by offering these gatherings is to empower people to connect at a deeper level with Self, with Others and with Nature.
In these Modern Times, there is a lot of disconnect happening in multiple levels in our lives. And sometimes we need to pause and venture back out into Nature to find ourselves. So here we are!
By gathering in group in regular natural cycles, we are returning to ancient ways of living, enjoying time together in Nature as we used to do in Villages and Tribes as tribal people.
We will focus on using natural plant materials to craft items such as baskets, cordage, dream catchers and more...
You will learn how to sustainably and respectfully forage for materials, how to prepare these materials for crafting and how to use several weaving techniques to make various items - which you are welcome to take home and keep on working on!
For 4 consecutive weeks, you will be invited to connect with the land, with the creatures and the spirits around you - and deeply get to know them, as they will get to know you while handcrafting beautiful woven items from Natural Materials you will learn to recognize around you.
WHO CAN PARTICIPATE?
These events are open to Teens (14+yo) and adults.
