Wisdom Meditation Retreat
Event description
A retreat with a strong emphasis on understanding and getting familiarised with the correct view of reality, the view of emptiness; while also developing a concentrated mind.
The meditations will be guided and include:
- The practice of Manjushri, the Buddha of Wisdom, using visualisation & mantra recitation.
- Explanations and meditations on emptiness and dependent arising, to understand how we and everything exists and learning how to practically apply this wisdom into our daily lives.
This retreat is suitable for anyone and ideal for those who have been exposed to Buddhist philosophy.
It will be gadget free, include moments of full silence and vegetarian meals. Within its beautiful and peaceful surroundings, Mahamudra Centre provides special & conducive conditions for practice.
A great benefit of practicing in retreat is that there are no distractions, so you can really be with yourself. Practicing together with others also provides tremendous inspiration and support. Your retreat becomes truly meaningful when you can apply the insights you have gained into your daily life. Engaging in retreat is a gift for yourself and a gift for the world.
Training the mind through meditation is training in awareness, and training in awareness offers the potential to fundamentally transform your perspective on life.Â
