WORKSHOP - Becoming unstuck: channeling your creative potential through consciousness with Blaise DeAngelo and Matt Handley

Price $108 AUD + BF Get tickets

Event description

When a NASA study, originally developed in 1968 to assess the potential for creativity and innovation among rocket scientists and engineers, was used to test children, the results delineated a sharp decline in creativity starting at just 10 years old. While 98% of 5-year-olds scored at genius levels of creativity, only 30% of 10-year-olds, 12% of 15-year-olds, and 2% of adults hit that mark.

Blaise DeAngelo (USA), former partner and consultant to iconic artists like Skrillex and Richie Hawtin, and Matt Handley (USA), 1/2 of hitmaking duo Yolanda Be Cool, have trained more than 3,000 hours under Vedic Meditation master Maharishi Vyasanand Sarasvati as teachers of Vedic Meditation and exponents of the inner dynamics which precipitate profound creativity. They’ll share the strategies used by the world’s most successful creators to silence the mind and the secrets to creating lasting work that remains culturally relevant long after its creation.

The workshop will open with a group meditation to get everyone grounded in the experience of Being, followed by a wisdom talk elucidating the hidden dynamics of creativity, and finally an opportunity for you to put the new knowledge into action with dedicated deep work or play time for you to make a dent in building, crafting, designing, writing, or in some way beginning to create that big scary thing you’ve been dreaming of doing but haven’t quite been able to.

After a home-made Ayurvedic family-style dinner following the workshop, we’ll break into small groups to share our insights from the day and help each other work through any remaining blocks before dancing the night away to Baseline Happiness Project DJs.
