Witchy Woo Woo - POSTPONED
Description
In this taster session for the 'witch-curious', Benne Blay McQueen and Shel O’Toole will introduce you to aspects of what it means to be a modern day witch. We'll cover basic practices, tools and equipment, setting up your space and choosing your preferred pathway.
If you're keen to explore alternative ways of connecting with the world through spirit, or just have an interest in working with energy and natural cycles then please come and dip your toe in the very welcoming waters. The session includes an introduction to oracle and tarot cards as a means of sharing intuition and mediumship.
As this is an indoors event in a shared space we will not be using candles or burning aromatics, however, we will have herbs and plant materials for people to explore.
Content for this session includes adult concepts so we ask that only people over 16 years of age attend please.
FAQs
- Do I need to bring anything?
You're welcome to bring a notebook and pen, or just bring yourself and a sense of curiosity. Examples of tools and equipment will be provided for you to explore, along with charts, images and reference materials.
- Can I record the session?
Unfortunately no - we prefer to keep our taster sessions very low-key so that our presenters can be focused on the material rather than their 'performance'. You are welcome to share official materials on social media, but for privacy reasons we ask that you do not take pictures, or record video or audio during the session.
- Are there accessibility options?
The venue is fully accessible, with flat floor entry and lift access to upper levels. There is disabled parking available at the front and rear of the library, with wheelchair and mobility aid ramping.
Unfortunately we cannot provide additional support for hearing impaired, deaf or blind participants. Any support animals must comply with the admission requirements of Ballarat Library.
- Why is this for participants over 16?
This session is designed for adult participants, and is not recommended for people under 16 years. Some of the content includes adult concepts and reference to aspects of spiritual practice which may not be suitable for children. Our facilitators do have current Working With Children Checks and Police Checks.
