Event description

This ECHO program aims to foster a community of practice that supports shared learning and professional collaboration in weight management. Effective weight management is foundational to preventing and managing chronic diseases and improving mental health outcomes.

The program consists of five sessions, delivered monthly on Tuesdays from 6:30 – 7:30pm via Zoom:

  • Meeting 1 (August 12) - Foundations of Weight Management in General Practice

  • Meeting 3 (October 14) - Behaviour Change Strategies for Weight Management

  • Meeting 4 (November 18) - Pharmacological Management of Obesity

  • Meeting 5 (December 9) - Surgical management: When and How to Refer

Each online session provides an opportunity for participants to learn best-practice care from a panel of expert clinicians, and to engage in debriefing discussions of real cases.
