WoC Masterclass: How to speak with confidence, conviction and personal power.
Event description
It's not easy speaking up as a Woman of Colour particularly when you are the 'only', let alone speak up and out against racism and discrimination in the workplace.
You may be worried about how this may influence your career progression opportunities, impact your reputation or reinforce stereotypes.
You may feel frustrated, worried and overwhelmed at the thought of speaking up at meetings, communicating your value and boundaries or asking for a raise.
Why is this?
Well, for many of us we struggle with speaking in the workplace due to trauma caused from gaslighting, tone policing and white silencing. We end up suppressed and oppressed keeping us stuck and stagnant from becoming the leader we know we are deep down inside.
What we need is clear, simple and practical strategies and tools to free and amplify our voices and lived experiences with courage, conviction, confidence and personal power.
Sis, you ready?
In this Masterclass you will learn;
- effective tools and strategies to communicate, set, and maintain clear boundaries.
- tools to handle difficult conversations and speak up against discrimination with grace.
- strategies to unleash your personal power and contribute confidently in meetings.
- how to amplify your voice and message in the workplace and sector lining you up to be considered for career progression opportunities.
- what gaslighting, tone policing and white silencing means and how to handle it effectively when it props up.
- how to communicate in a way that heals, frees and empowers your voice and lived experiences.
Once you register your attendance I will be in touch with the Zoom link as well as send you any pre-work.
I look forward to meeting and supporting you at the Masterclass!
Note: This Masterclass is inclusive of transgender, non-binary and gender non-confirming individuals.

PLEASE READ: TICKET & DONATION OPTIONS
100% of all donations from this Masterclass go towards Bounczn, a youth not for profit (NFP) dance company that provides holistic, inclusive and culturally diverse dance and life education to disadvantaged, disengaged and at-risk young people of colour in Melbourne's West. This organisation has suffered a massive hit due to COVID-19. I am running this webinar to raise much-needed funds for this incredible organisation and its social impact work.
As Bounczn is a DGR registered NFP organisation, you should be able to claim your donation on your next tax return by keeping the receipt.
If you are unable to attend you can still donate via this page.
I like to set the example for the hundreds of Women of Colour I support daily, and one of the ways I do this is by valuing my time and expertise. With this in mind I ask for a small contribution for my time. This is also so that you have skin in the game (so to speak) and commit to putting this Masterclass into action, and to support your sisters by paying it forward. Therefore this event is ticketed. 25% of these funds will also be donated to Bounczn. If you cannot afford $4.99 for a ticket then please email me directly at hello@winitha.com.
