World Ocean Day Quiz 2025

Whale-come back for another instalment of the Mountains to Sea Wellington World Ocean Day Pub Quiz!

Brush up on your ocean trivia, put on your pirate hats, and join us for an unforgettable night of community sea-lebration!

Thanks to our friends at Parrotdog Bar, we’ll be back on the south coast this year for this annual sell-out fundraising event... get your tickets fast! 

All proceeds from the night will support Mountains to Sea Wellington’s Explore programmes,  providing opportunities for folks of all ages to get up close and personal with te taiao through our marine programmes, restoration projects and community events. 

We’ll have a range of quiz topics, themed around the ocean (and other topics for the less ocean-savvy). There’ll also be mini games, raffles, auctions, spot prizes and more! 

Be the best dressed: 

Don your most sea-purb costumes and join the catwalk to compete for …the best in shoal! 

Tickets

Tickets are $25pp or $150 for a team table (maximum 6 per team), with options to pay more if you’re feeling like making a bigger splash to support us. 

If you book a single ticket, we’ll set you up with teammates on the night to make up a team of 6. 

Please ensure you book single tickets in one order if you'd like to be seated with another person(s), or email events@mtsw.org.nz to ensure you are seated together. Please note, if you are less than a team of six and you book single tickets, you may have others added to your team on the night (this is usually a sell out event!)
