Dr Anna Okello
Research Program Manager for Livestock Systems

Since graduating as a veterinarian from the University of Melbourne in 2002, Anna has spent the majority of her career working in international livestock development and public health programmes in Africa and Southeast Asia, including working in various project management and technical advisory roles for international Non-Government Organisations, the University of Edinburgh, the Australian Centre for Disease Preparedness, the World Health Organization and the Australian Department of Agriculture Fisheries and Forestry. She joined ACIAR in 2017 as an Associate RPM for One Health. Anna completed a PhD in political science at the University of Edinburgh’s Centre for African Studies in 2012.

Dr Bosibori Bett
Director, Multilateral and Strategic Partnerships at ACIAR

With four years at ACIAR and over 20 years in agricultural research for development in ACIAR partner countries, Bosi brings extensive experience in partnerships, capacity development and program leadership.

Prior to joining ACIAR, Bosi worked for Australia’s Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry, enhancing regional biosecurity and market access with trading partners for agricultural commodities across the Americas, Europe, Africa and the Middle East. She also held roles at Australia’s national science agency (CSIRO), the Kenya Agricultural and Livestock Research Organisation and CGIAR.

Bosi currently serves as an alternate member for Australia at the CGIAR System Council and continues to lead ACIAR’s engagement with multilateral organisations to strengthen collaboration of research initiatives in the Indo-Pacific region.
