We're excited to announce our upcoming event with Kirsten Matthew - Journalist, Editor & Author & Rebecca Caughey - Band Manager, Publicist & Co-Owner Of Cook & Nelson on Tuesday 25 February.

Kirsten Matthew

Kirsten Matthew is a former journalist, editor and author with more than 30 years’ experience working in New Zealand and the USA. After training as a journalist, she worked for Metro magazine as a staff writer, before spending a decade working in magazines and newspapers in New York City as a writer and editor. She returned to New Zealand and created Mabel Maguire, an agency that creates content for brands and has since worked with Toyota, Auckland Council,Allpress Espresso, The New Zealand Institute of Architects and many other brands on their public relations, social media and content. She is the author of three books.

Rebecca Caughey

Rebecca (Becs) Caughey spent 15 years in the music industry as a band manager and publicist spending over a decade managing top Kiwi artists Ladi6 and Shapeshifter. After having her second child she changed careers and co-founded Cook & Nelson with her husband Nick, marketing and distributing innovative food and beverage brands from across the globe, including Seedlip, McClure’s Pickles and Tony’s Chocolonely. Becs is one of the co-founders of Poptimist which has created Good Sh*t Soda - the world’s first pre + probiotic soda made right here in New Zealand - and recently launched Good Sh*t Gut Powder.

What to expect on the night

Our events kick off with a networking session between 5.30 - 6.00pm so that guests can connect over a drink & nibbles.  At 6.00pm we head into one of the theatres at Globe Theatre for a presentation from one of our sponsors, and then our guest speaker, with audience Q&A + discussion following before the event is wrapped up at approximately 7.00pm.
