Speaker

We're excited to be joined by Morgan Rossiter, Director of Offshore Wind at the Clean Energy Council. 

Morgan champions for regulatory and legislative frameworks that will accelerate the establishment of offshore wind energy in Australia. This includes development of supporting industries and infrastructure, as well as community and stakeholder engagement. Through this role Morgan also leads the Australian Offshore Wind Taskforce, established to foster collaboration and coordination across the offshore wind industry. Before joining the CEC, Morgan spent 10 years in the energy sector in a diverse range of roles across Australia and Singapore in shipping, strategy, infrastructure development and logistics. Morgan holds a Bachelor of International Business from RMIT University and a Master of Environment and Sustainability from Monash University.

Gippsland Women in New Energy (GWNE) is a group of women represented by a not-for-profit committee dedicated to creating an inclusive and empowering platform for women to excel in the new energy industry, contributing significantly to the sector's development and growth.

Our commitment is to foster an environment where women can thrive and lead in the transition to a clean energy future in Gippsland and beyond.


WHO IS GIPPSLAND SKIES?

Gippsland Skies Offshore Wind is a proposed 2.5 gigawatt project to be developed approximately 30 kilometres off the south coast of Gippsland, Victoria.

The project will deliver clean energy, create green jobs and provide sustainable industry opportunities for Gippsland, while helping Victoria meet its climate action targets.

Gippsland Skies bring considerable international offshore wind experience and knowledge of Gippsland’s regional needs and priorities through our partners, Mainstream Renewable Power, Reventus Power, AGL Energy and DIRECT Infrastructure.
