Women for Election In Conversation with Nicolle Flint
Event description
You’re invited to our online In Conversation, hosted by Licia Heath. Our October guest is Nicolle Flint, MP Federal Member for Boothby.
Nicolle Flint was elected as the Member for Boothby in 2016 and re-elected in 2019. She is the first woman to represent the seat since it was established in 1903.
Nicolle has been outspoken about the sexist, misogynistic and intimidating behaviour she faced during the 2019 election campaign, and recently attracted national and international attention for wearing a garbage bag in response to criticisms about her appearance.
Nicolle has vowed to keep speaking out to help ensure a safe campaign environment and improve the treatment of all women in politics.
Register for this event to hear about Nicolle’s journey into politics, including how her career as a newspaper columnist for Fairfax and NewsCorp shaped her view of the Australian political landscape.
Registrations close 3 hours before the In Conversation event.
