Bush Heritage Australia invites you to join us for a thought-provoking networking breakfast, featuring inspiring female leaders providing their insights and guidance on nature-based risks and opportunities, including nature-related financial disclosures.

Nature is no longer a corporate social responsibility issue, but a core and strategic risk management issue alongside climate change. It needs to be brought into the strategy and risk management decisions of business and finance. With nature-related financial disclosures on the horizon, it’s imperative for business to act early, understand the complexities involved and take advantage of the synergies between solutions to nature loss and the climate crisis.

Sophie St John, Director, Pollination

Sophie is a nature specialist with a background as an ecologist, an MBA, and over 12 years of experience across infrastructure and the built environment. As a Director at Pollination, Sophie’s work includes corporate nature strategy and road mapping, TNFD-aligned nature risk & opportunity assessment and disclosure preparedness, and work to leverage natural capital & accelerate the uptake of nature-based solutions.

Sophie is also a Certified Environmental Practitioner and before joining Pollination, was the Australasia Nature Service Leader at Arup, where she developed a comprehensive client-facing nature offering. Sophie’s work has historically been practical and hands-on completing ecological field assessments, environmental assessments, approvals, and offsets for numerous projects across Australia, and in PNG.

Toni Hay, Director, Indigenous Climate Change

Toni is a climate specialist, environmental sustainability expert, and author who is passionate about combating climate change and preserving the environment. Being a descendant of the First Australians Nation of Gamilaraay and growing up in Yolngu homelands in the Northern Territory, she has a rich heritage and a deeply personal connection to the environment. 

Toni won the Queensland Women in STEM award in 2020. She is passionate about finding practical and realistic solutions to environmental concerns in Australia, New Zealand, and Oceania. Her scientific knowledge combines her unique background, experiences, and insights to provide meaningful solutions for people and society to embrace climate adaptation, enhance resilience and support the world’s most vulnerable people.

Dr Kimberly Camrass, Australia, New Zealand & South Pacific Regional Lead Global Sustainability Policy & Partnerships, Boeing

Dr Kimberly Camrass is a sustainability professional with a PhD in Regenerative Futures. She has extensive experience in the development and implementation of policy, strategy and programs to achieve positive environmental, social and governance outcomes. Kimberly also specialises in stakeholder engagement, regenerative place-making and strategic foresight. In her current role as Global Sustainability Policy and Partnerships Regional Lead at Boeing, Kimberly drives efforts to decarbonise aviation and improve supply chain sustainability across Australia, New Zealand and the South Pacific. Kimberly is also engaged in strategic foresight and futures work with academic partners globally to drive innovative thinking around regeneration and nature positivity.

Jillian is a familiar face on Queensland television – with over 25 years’ experience as a journalist, newsreader and TV presenter with the Seven and Nine networks. She’s also been a regular presenter on local radio and contributor to News Limited papers, and is currently a presenter on Channel Seven’s local lifestyle program, The Great Day Out.
