About Barb McGregor
Barb is among Tasmania’s leading communications and public relations specialists with 25 years in the industry.
She has managed public relations, communications and engagement for leading Tasmanian businesses and multi-nationals at a global and national level and was also head of the Tasmanian Government Media Office.
She began her career as a journalist.
Barb has sat on a number of Executive Teams, and has coached Premiers, Ministers and Chief Executives on successful communications, stakeholder and media engagement. She is a seasoned speech writer and runs her own business supporting clients across a raft of industries in public relations, media, public speaking, leadership coaching, stakeholder engagement, strategy and culture.
Confidence in Public Speaking II Mastering your Style (3 hours)
The Confidence in Public Speaking II Mastering your Style Workshop is another hands-on approach allowing participants to practice and refine their unique speaking styles in a series of real-world scenarios.
Workshop Agenda:
• Welcome and introduction.
• Recap of preferred style (with newcomers able to find their preferred style)
• Role-play scenarios with specific audience type, adapting to natural strengths.
• Interactive feedback session.
• Adaption Exercise (encourage participants to incorporate a different style) to build flexibility and how blending elements can enrich delivery.
• High-stakes scenario practice (for willing participants only)
• Self-reflection and action plan.
• Group discussion – questions.
