Description

Are you a STEM female international student looking for a supportive community like no other to help you build personal confidence and your career path?

Join Study Melbourne’s Women in STEM network for an inspirational session. Moving to a new country is challenging enough, but what does it mean to navigate STEM as an international woman? Have you ever felt like you had to prove yourself, struggled to find your voice, or faced a challenge you wondered whether other women experienced too?

In an uplifting panel discussion, three leading international women will share their aspirations, career journey, and how they stay motivated during challenging times.

Hear tips and advice about volunteering, leadership opportunities, groups and clubs, and how making connections can launch your career.

This event includes a mentoring session to connect you with international women working across STEM industries in Victoria.

Our Panel

  • Angela Sojan, Victoria’s International Student of the Year (Higher Education) 2025, Technology Project Management, University of Melbourne

  • Adiba Erfan, Victorian International Student of the Year 2025 (Premier’s Award), Neuroscience, University of Melbourne

  • Dr. Negin Foroughimehr, Beamline Scientist, Australian Synchrotron

  • Annie Fang, Biology & Pharmaceutical Science Graduate

This event is ideal for international women studying STEM at any level, with opportunities to expand your personal and professional networks.
