Women-only Sunset Walk | Stonehenge | WILTSHIRE
Description
Route Overview
Starting Point: Woodhenge Car Park
Distance: 9km / 5 miles
Time: ~3 hours (inc stops)
Ascent: 80m
Grade: Beginner (Find out more about our grading system here)
Terrain: Muddy footpaths, gravel tracks and grassy paths.
Join us for a special evening walk at sunset, through one of the most magical landscapes in Britain.
We'll start the walk at Woodhenge and follow The Cursus towards a beautiful woodland via several ancient Bronze Age burial mounds. We will then follow the landscape to Stonehenge itself, where we get an up-close view of the stones before following the ancient Avenue trail away as the sun sets. We will stop for a break to watch the sunset before continuing on back to Woodhenge, where the hike will end.
Spend some much-needed time out in nature, chatting to like-minded women and connecting with others. Most people arrive alone and leave having made new friends. Everyone is super friendly and welcoming, so don't be nervous if this is your first one :)

Who will be your guide?

Hi, I’m Alice! I’m a Qualified Mountain Leader and CEO of The Adventure Girls Club. I founded this club to create a welcoming space for women to reconnect with nature through adventure and outdoor skills. I love meeting the amazing women who join our events, and it’s incredibly rewarding to see participants leave feeling more connected to nature and each other.
What to expect on a TAGC hike
A qualified hike leader to lead the way and keep you safe
A slow walking pace where no one gets left behind
A welcoming and friendly group of like-minded women
Plenty of facts about the nature and history of the walk
Lots of 'faff' stops to drink water, snack and de-layer and re-layer
A relaxing lunch/dinner break (if the weather allows!)
A link to share photos after the hike
