Women's Circle, Manly - The Stories We Carry

Welcome to Bare, a women’s circle in Manly.

This month we’re talking about the stories we carry.

I’m too much. I’m not enough. I could never. Women like me don’t.

Most of us have a few of these, quietly running in the background. We picked them up young, often from someone else, and never stopped to check whether they’re still true.

Life rarely slows down enough for us to look. And without real space to pause and go a little deeper, those old stories keep running the show. You can’t change an inner narrative you’ve never had the chance to hear clearly. This evening is that chance: a gift of time and perspective, with other women who carry these stories too. Maybe you’ll put one or two down for a while.

No need to prep, know, or think about anything beforehand. Just arrive as you are that day.

SO WHAT ARE WE DOING?

• Consciously connecting with the women we’ll share the space with (and a little laughter to start)

• Checking in with what’s present in our bodies, minds and hearts

• Gently uncovering the beliefs that keep us small, and how they’ve shaped us

• Somatic movement, to shake loose what we’ve been holding

• A breathwork practice you can take home and use anytime that old voice gets loud

• An opportunity for group shares

• Writing ourselves a new, kinder story

• Closing with a gratitude meditation
  

What you don’t need: experience, a reason to be there, or anything sorted out in advance.
What to bring: warm, comfortable clothes, and yourself.
