The Ethnic Community Council Queensland (ECCQ) are thrilled to again host the Women’s Ethnic Network’s (WEN) 2025 International Women’s Day breakfast in Brisbane. The WEN dedicated to uniting women from diverse cultural backgrounds to identify their strengths and specific needs, address gaps in service delivery, and explore opportunities for collaboration and leadership across Queensland. When the LNP won government in 2012, Fiona was elected as Speaker of the House, making her Queensland Parliament’s first female Speaker in its 150 years. Fiona brings a wealth of experience to her Ministerial role. Fiona grew up and went to school on the Sunshine Coast and remains a long-term resident. Her deep connection to the community shapes her understanding of the needs and aspirations of all Queenslanders. Fiona subscribes to the motto of service above self.
