Event description

You're invited to celebrate Women's History Month at an intimate brunch in the private mezzanine at Hold Out Brewing -- community and inspiration guaranteed.

We will create a simple and meaningful keepsake craft while learning from Becky Bullard, founder of Democrasexy, about some of our Texas foremothers: First Lady Lady Bird Johnson, Rep. Barbara Jordan, Governor Ann Richards, activist Emma Tenayuca, and Texas Rep. Sarah Weddington. We'll sift through historical photos and poignant anecdotes to find pearls of wisdom from these women's lives that will inspire us to successfully engage in changemaking today.

Coffee and light snacks are included; additional food and beverage will be available for purchase. Craft supplies also included in ticket price.

Tickets are offered on a sliding scale based on your income. Each ticket price includes the same experience -- the purpose of the ticket tiers is to make the event accessible to more folks while also offering the chance for those who have the resources to support Democrasexy's organizing work on behalf of Texas women and LGBTQIA+ folks.

With deep gratitude to our sponsor Cristina Ayala Consulting, Strategies and Management, a Latina-led fundraising consulting firm that focuses on progressive candidates and causes.
