Women's Legal Service Queensland (WLSQ) presents a free legal Workshop for community service providers in the Roma region.



Workshop Content: 

This workshop explores the legal process and considerations post separation in Queensland, utilising a case study to illustrate each step.


This full day workshop explores the key steps individuals may need to take after separation, with a focus on:

  • Recognising Domestic and Family Violence behaviours
  • Safety planning
  • Financial exit planning 
  • Financial assistance
  • Parenting agreements
  • Property settlement
  • Filing for divorce 


Designed for service providers and community workers, the workshop equips attendees with the knowledge and tools needed to confidently assist clients through this complex and often challenging period.

It’s suitable for practitioners, support workers, coordinators, and anyone working directly with individuals who are affected by or experiencing domestic and family violence.

    The workshop aims to deepen participants’ understanding of the legal landscape surrounding separation in the context of domestic and family violence and offers practical tools and insights to strengthen professional practice and support outcomes for the community.
