Event description

The City of Greater Bendigo invites you to a unique, four-week Women’s Self-Defence and Situational Awareness Group Program. The sessions are designed for teenage girls (over 13 years of age) to women of any age, this program promotes positive ageing in a fun, safe, and empowering space where women can connect and learn together.

This program blends Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu-based techniques with practical situational awareness strategies, equipping women with skills that focus on:

✅ Using leverage, timing, and energy efficiency—techniques that work for all ages and abilities

✅ Recognising and assessing risk in different environments

✅ Setting boundaries using verbal and psychological strategies

A male co-facilitator will demonstrate how techniques work in real-world situations, reinforcing their effectiveness.

More than just self-defence, this experience creates a unique opportunity for women to share wisdom, support each other, and build confidence together.
