Our hearts impulse is to reach out for love and connection. Extending out our hands to be met by those closest to us. When this desire is unable to be received or reciprocated we develop armouring around our heart. Shutting down the feelings and despair and blocking us from experiencing the love and joy that is our birthright!
We will utilise the 6 elements of Biodynamic Breathwork to begin releasing tension from the thoracic region. Specifically focusing on movement and touch to support with the dissolving of armouring and muscle tensions around the heart region.
Typical emotional expressions that may be stored in the heart include grief, mourning, longing, love, joy and fear.
About Breathwork:
Breathwork involves conscious connected breathing (without pause) for approximately 60minutes. By breathing in this way, we begin to access the Limbic (emotional) part of the brain. With the influx of oxygen, we wake up the dormant parts of the body, where our trauma is stored. This process may bring up any unresolved or suppressed emotions such as anger, shame, sadness, fear, grief, love or joy. This powerful work exposes core wounds and traumas, gently guiding them to be safely resolved and integrated within the nervous system. The breath will open up long held blockages, allowing vital energy to flow freely through the body, supporting the breakthrough of old patterns and beliefs and stepping into a new version of oneself.
During this 3hr breathwork experience you can expect:
- A safe, sacred space to explore the deepest and most vulnerable parts of yourself
- Movement and awareness exercises to illuminate long-held muscle tension and the suppressed emotion stored in our bodies
- Strengthening the connection with your body and coming into presence
- Gentle therapeutic bodywork and touch, a key element in releasing muscle tension and body armouring
- Deep relaxation and stillness
What to bring:
- Yourself! Come with an open mind and curiosity to explore
- Loose fitting comfortable clothes, something you can move and sweat in
- A plastic water bottle
- A journal and a pen
- Anything else you feel may support you
Who am I:
Luke is a Level 4 certified Biodynamic Breathwork and Trauma Release Systems (BBTRS) facilitator. Luke's greatest passion is supporting men and women in releasing the trauma, stories and subconscious beliefs that have been defining their lives. Luke works with trauma release in a safe and gentle way, with a focus on respecting the individual sensitivity of the nervous system. His work is for those who want to live more grounded, connected and embodied lives. Luke works with small to medium sized groups in a workshop setting and also provides 1:1 private Breathwork sessions. Initially starting his career as a Mechanical Engineer, Luke's path has lead him on a journey of rediscovery, using Breathwork to find his connection to self, to his body and his emotions.

- Severe heart disease/cardiovascular disease/very high blood pressure
- Mental illness/disorders patients
- Epilepsy and history of seizures
- Acute physical injuries

- Under the age of 18
