Women's Safety in the City Webinar | Australian Harvard Women Event
Event description
Whilst Australian cities are generally considered safe, the lived experiences are different for each gender.
Females often report (and too often don't report) harassment and assault as they go about their daily life living and working in our cities.
More can always be done to improve the safety of our cities and business and individuals play a huge role in this.
Building on from the Committee for Sydney’s Safety After Dark, The Greater Sydney Women’s Safety Charter brings together businesses, government agencies, peak groups and not-for-profit organisations to take collective action that improves the safety of women and girls in Greater Sydney.
Lead by two of Sydney’s most prominent female leaders and HBS Alumni: Sarah Hill, CEO Greater Sydney Commission and Elizabeth Mildwater, Deputy Secretary Transport for NSW, the Charter seeks to make our cities more female friendly and also brings wider social and productivity benefits because a city that works better for women, works better for everyone.
Register now to learn more. We look forward to seeing each one of you there.
Warm regards,
Australian Harvard Women Team
