The Wonderwood Children’s Festival will be a unique nature experience that will involve camping, nature crafts, stories, songs and delicious food, just to name a few!

Be prepared to awaken to an enchanted wonderland enriched by the depths and breadth of nature’s wisdom.

Families can expect

• Bush Skills relating to bush wood craft, bush shelter and animal food/skin preparations.

• Hearth Skills including fire by friction and flint preparations

• Dreamtime and Nature storytelling

• Bush Play Crafts.

• Parenting workshops

• Contact Jam - family style !

This will be a truly special event for families with children aged between 0-8 years.

Our festival is a place dedicated to children being in nature. A place of wonder. A place of belonging. Within these depths lies the heart of our children’s playful nature spirits who will embark on an enchanted magical wonderland, forging meaningful immersive nature connections within its realms. Set against the backdrop of majestic trees, scenic views, and intriguing landscapes, our Wonderwood Festival will serve as a sanctuary for families seeking refuge from their everyday lives.

At the core of our vision are our Nature-focused immersive practices.

• Families will have the opportunity to discover supported, skilled, and immersive activities that awaken our senses, quicken our will, and deepen their connection to Country.

• We will provide nourishing food and dinner throughout the event. Our offerings and efforts will reflect our commitment to wild forage practices and community.

• The Wonderwood Festival will offer families the opportunity to camp out with support under a canopy of stars, fostering a sense of awe, inspiration, and the infinite possibilities of indigenous wisdom, connection, and belonging.

Whether gathered in witness to the nature stories under the trees or drawn into the magnetism of fire elementals, children and families alike will beckon to lasting friendships, and memories and deepen their innate understandings that will alter their sense of self and aim to transcend to a place beyond time and space. Our vision for the Wonder Wood Festival is rooted in the belief that by reconnecting with nature, we discover what it truly means to be human. What it truly means to inter-exist.
