The Theater at Woodshill presents The Tempest

William Shakespeare, whose work remains at the center of our repertory, wrote The Tempest near the close of his career—in fact, some say it was his farewell to the stage. 

Into this final flourish he poured everything: betrayal and redemption, fatherly love and youthful romance, the illusion of power and the reality of letting go—and a heaping spoonful of magic. With his quill he conjured an enchanted island where spirits dance, monsters dream, and one man’s vengeance becomes an act of grace.

We are so proud to bring you this remarkable and time-honored play, directed by Emily K. Harrison, as the summer programming for our tenth season.  

IMPORTANT SHOW NOTES:

• Doors open 30 minutes prior to show start (and no sooner!)

• This show will include flashing lights

• There will be a 15 minute intermission

• Please aim to use our bathrooms before the show begins, to minimize traffic during intermission

• Unless we send a note out in advance, the show will go on rain or shine
