Event description

Pull up a camping chair around our toasty warm fake fireplace for a unique night of songs and stories from Freo's favourite songwriters.

Your host Woody Campfire is known by many under his pseudonym Tomás Ford, and to others as the gay John Williamson-kinda-busker-bloke they keep seeing around Freo. Back before his reincarnation as a yarn-spinning country songsmith, Woody spent two decades as an internationally touring comedian. He knows how to keep a conversation rolling.

While Woody’s a dedicated country crooner, the Songwriter’s Bonfire is all about variety. Expect a mix of genres and styles, as each artist brings their own flavour to the night. This is a rare chance to hear the stories behind the songs and witness the raw talent of some of the finest songwriters around.

Imagine sitting around a flickering campfire, surrounded by fellow music lovers in cozy camping chairs, as each performer takes their turn to share songs straight from the heart. Campfire singalongs aren't amplified, so neither will this be. It's about as up-close-and-personal as it gets.

Join us for a couple of beers and an unforgettable musical experience, camping out under the roof of the dinkum Fremantle Buffalo Club at 54 High Street.

Entry is just a tenner, but to maintain intimacy, capacity is strictly limited, so bookings are recommended.
