Event description

Woody Weeds & Wildlife – Eagle Bay

Join us for a hands-on community workshop where you’ll learn how to manage woody weeds on your property and support displaced native wildlife.

This free event brings together passionate local experts for a morning of learning, community, and practical action. Whether you’re a bush block owner, live in Meelup Heights or Maybrook Estate, a keen gardener, or simply love wildlife and the environment, this event will equip you with valuable skills and insight into caring for our local landscapes.

What to expect:

  • Learn how to identify and remove woody weeds, apply herbicide safely, and protect native bushland with weed control expert Rick Ensley.

  • Discover which native animals inhabit woody weeds and what to do if you find displaced wildlife with Suzi Strapp, President of FAWNA Inc.

  • Bring a weed from your property to have it identified — and swap it for a native plant!
