Wooragee Landcare AGM
Event description
Please join us as we celebrate another inspiring year of Landcare in Wooragee and look to the future with our special guest speaker Lachlan Campbell.
Lachlan is the Sustainable Agriculture Facilitator with North East Catchment Management Authority. With extensive experience in sustainable land management in our region, his presentation will explore what the climate might look like in 2050 and options for rural communities, landholders and agriculture-facing industries under different climate scenarios. Lachlan believes that communities adapting to the effects of climate change through improved land management systems will manage the change and prosper. Whilst not providing all the answers, we can get a glimpse of the future climate, unpack current opportunities and explore future solutions. Â
To wrap our official year, the evening will include a brief AGM, a delicious dinner (main meal) at the Grand Oaks Resort in Beechworth, good cheer and good company!
As ever, we welcome aspiring Committee members at this event. We have a vibrant and varied Committee and welcome all contributions that will help us to connect our community with nature.Â
Please see the flyer below for information about joining our committee, and find a nomination form and more about what we do on the Wooragee Landcare website.
