Welcome to Words Worth You,

This is a space for expression, active listening, poetry, music, stories, fun, reflection, community, silliness, sincerity and connection.

Words Worth You features both open mic performances and a new collaborative creation made by all attending our events - below is last months offering:

"Realities hand has gone elsewhere,

Snooping in corners shy people won't dare,

Reaching for treasures just out of its grasp

Fumbling with handles - the clutch and the clasp

There's a rip in time, are we blind to the past

Are we determined to make our cycle the last

For what was once something I could hold and hug,

Has trickled away like piss in a mug

Where is that hand that held me so grounded?

It holds my heart in it's clutch, crushing each vein

Reality please speak for me, don't be dumbfounded.

Please reality, do not leave me floundered.

Because you can't speak- just screaming for me!"

The chosen prompt for next month is:

'There's a rip in time, are we blind to the past?'

There will also be food and refreshments, and hopefully a lot of joy! Tickets are available on a sliding scale, no-one will be turned away for lack of funds. The ticket price goes straight to the venue and the running costs of our events.
