Description
GRiM is collaborating with Words Worth You to celebrate Northern Femininity. We are low voices and high heels, girlhood and grossness, glitter and grit.
Our programmed performers (including Angus Bhattacharya, Gem Kinley, and Kate Bradley) will share scraps of stories that don’t fit anywhere else, poems that exalt their mother tongues, music that sounds like the smoking shelter or your granny’s kitchen.
The night will conclude with an open mic session for anyone who would like to share on the night.
This event will be photographed.
About GRiM:
GRiM is an itty bitty wee team of grassroots artists making cool shit (art, events, whatever) in Glasgow to explore gender and regional identity, especially revolving around Northern Femininity. We are low voices and high heels, girlhood and grossness, glitter and grit. We are creating community and archiving experiences to celebrate who and where we are.
About Words Worth You:
Words Worth You is all in the name. A monthly poetry and performance evening, we celebrate community, communication, and compassion through spoken word, storytelling, music, food, and more more. We also create a new poem at every one of our sessions, so there is still a wonderful chance to contribute even if you have never performed before. Whether you are a beginner or an experienced writer, we are keen to hear and share what words are worth to you!
