#work_out_loud STATE OF PLAY

Human-centred design and associated practices appear to be entering a new phase. Demand for these type of design is high. However, the way they are delivered may be about to undergo a shift.

In this #work_out_loud session - State of Play - we ask Darren Menachemson from Thinkplace, Jeremy Yuille from Meld Studios, Munib Karavdic from Wave and Joe Sciglitano, from Portable, in conversation with Chi Ryan, to outline how they see the near future and what strategies they have. We are interested in the individual studios as well as the collective HCD practice. 

This session will kick off a series fo similar conversations, culminating in a live, onsite (and broadcast) workshop at the RMIT School of Design Grad Show on 14th, 125th November (watch this space).

JOE SCIGLITANO PORTABLE

I’m a multidisciplinary designer and leader with over 20 years experience in product, communication, strategy, and user experience. I work collaboratively with organisations and the people they serve to research and co-design strategies and solutions that strike a balance between human and organisational needs (organisations are just people, after all).

CHI RYAN 

I'm a passionate senior design leader, practitioner, researcher, writer and academic with almost 30 years of experience, a healthy obsession with creating exceptional brand, product and service experiences. My cross-industry, transdisciplinary design expertise spans digital and physical brands, products, services, systems, tech, education and just about everything in between.
